Two sisters among 3 die in Pabna road accident

Three people, including a six-year-old girl and her two-month-old sister, were killed and three others injured as a CNG-run auto-rickshaw and a human hauler collided head-on in Sujanagar upazila of Pabna district on Saturday afternoon.

Deceased Sinthia and Ayesha were the daughters of Sabuj Ali, a resident of Boalia village in the upazila while the rest, the auto-rickshaw driver, could not be identified immediately.

Quoting locals, Aminpur Police Station officer in-charge Rawshan Ali said a CNG-run auto-rickshaw collided head-on with an engine-run human hauler (locally known as Nasimon) in Dariapur area on the Pabna-Dhaka Highway around 3pm.

The auto-rickshaw's driver, and its passengers - Sinthia and Ayesha - died on the spot while three ones, including the two girls' mother Bilkis Khatun, 25, received injuries.

However, the injured were admitted to hospital, he added.
