Factories reopen on Sunday

The government has allowed the export-oriented factories to reopen on Sunday amid the strict coronavirus lockdown.

The Cabinet Division issued a gazette notification in this regard on Friday.

The decision came a day after the exporters urged the government to let them resume production.

Earlier, the government imposed a strict lockdown from July 23 to August 5 to curb the coronavirus transmission.

All public-private offices, market-shopping malls, public transports, and industries except the ones producing and processing food products, transporting and maintaining rawhide, and producing drugs to close during the restrictions.
