Three people were killed and at least five others injured in a collision between a covered and a human hauler in Narsingdi on Friday afternoon.
The deceased were identified as Al Amin, 10, son of Saiful Islam, a resident of Banglabazar Dewanganj in Sunamganj, Hafizul Islam, 46, of Boteshwar village in Belabo upazila of Narsingdi, and Chan Mia, 55, of Kaliganj upazila of Gazipur district.
Witnesses said a covered van collided head-on with a human hauler (locally known as Leguna) Bhatpara Takshal intersection on Panchdona-Tongi road around 2:30pm, leaving three dead on the spot and five others injured.
Pancdona Police Outpost in-charge Yusuf Mia the injured were sent to Narsingdi Sadar Hospital, and the covered van was seized.
