Three people, including a woman, were killed in a road accident in Debidwar upazila of Cumilla district on Tuesday morning.
The deceased were identified as Abul Kalam, 45, a resident of Darora village, Kamrunnahar, 30, wife of Liton Mia of Raytala village, and Babul Mia, 40, of Chhaliakandi village in Muradnagar upazila.
Mirpur Highway Police Outpost sub-inspector Midul Kanti told Jago News that a goods-laden truck hit a three wheeler from behind in Charbakor area on the Cumilla-Sylhet road, leaving a passenger of the latter vehicle dead on the spot and two ones injured.
The injured were rushed to Debidwar Upazila Health Complex where the on-duty doctor declared them dead, he added.
