Mild heat wave is sweeping over Rangpur division and the regions of Bogura, Noagaon, Sirajgonj, Mymensingh and Sylhet and it may continue at some places, reports BSS.
Light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is also likely to occur at a few places over Rangpur, Mymensingh, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and at one or two places over Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna and Barishal divisions with heavy falls at isolated places over the country, a met release said.
Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
Country’s maximum temperature on Monday was recorded 37.0 degrees Celsius jointly at Bogura, Dinajpur and Sayedpur while minimum temperature today was 25.0 degrees Celsius at Sylhet.
Country’s maximum rainfall for the last twenty-four hours till 6:00am today was recorded 80 millimeters (mm) at Sylhet.
The low over West Central Bay and adjoining Northwest Bay off north Andhra Pradesh-south Odisha coast now lies over coastal areas of north Andhra Pradesh, south Odisha and adjoining Bay areas.
It is likely to move in a northwesterly direction.
The axis of monsoon trough runs through Gujrat, Madhya Pradesh, the centre of the low and thence northeastwards to Assam across Gengetic West Bengal and southern part of Bangladesh.
Monsoon is fairly active over Bangladesh and moderate over North Bay.
