Shops, public transport to be reopened from July 15

The government has decided to relax the ongoing lockdown ahead of Eid-ul-Azha.

Markets, shops and shopping malls and public transport will resume from July 15, but all have to follow health guidelines.

The new restrictions may be extended till July 23, according to the source of Cabinet Division.

Cabinet Division may issue a gazette notification in this regard on Monday evening or Tuesday morning.

The government may also impose a country-wide lockdown after July 23.

Earlier, the government imposed a strict lockdown from 1 July, which was later extended for another week.
