Twenty people died of Coronavirus at the Corona unit of Rajshahi Medical College and Hospital (RMCH) in the last 24 years. Five of them died of Coronavirus and the rest seventeen died of its symptoms.
Brigadier General Shamim Yazdani, Director of RMCH, confirmed the deaths to Jago News on Thursday.
He said, the 22 people died at different wards of the hospital from 8am on Wednesday to 8am on Thursday. Of the deceased, 14 were from Rajshahi, five from Naogaon, one each from Chapainawabganj, Natore and Jhenaidah.
“In the last 24 hours, 66 patients were admitted to the hospital and 46 were discharged from the hospital. 195 COVID patients and 267 with Coronavirus symptoms are receiving treatment at the hospital, he added.
