Twenty-five people died at the Corona unit of Rajshahi Medical College and Hospital (RMCH) in the last 24 hours. Nine of those died of Coronavirus and the rest 16 died of its symptoms.
Confirming the matter, Brigadier General Shamim Yajdani, Director of RMCH, said the 25 people died from 8am on Monday to 8am on Tuesday. Of them, fifteen were male and ten were female.
Of the deceased, five were from Natore, one from Chuadanga, five from Chapainawabganj, three from Natore and two from Naogaon, he said.
He also said, 70 people were admitted to the hospital in the last 24 hours and fifty were discharged. 182 Covid patients and 277 with Corona symptoms are receiving treatment at the hospital.
