Four people were killed and another was injured in a fatal road accident in Sharsha Upazila of Jashore district on Sunday afternoon.
Among the injured, three were identified as Nayan, Naim and Jony from Muradnagar area in Chattogram district. The identity of the rest, the driver of the private car, could not be known.
Navaron Highway Police Outpost officer in-charge Asaduzzaman said a truck rammed into a private car in Malanchi area on the Jashore-Benapole road, leaving three, including the driver of the latter vehicle, dead on the spot, and two injured.
The injured were taken to Jashore General Hospital where another died, he said.
The people met their tragic end when they were going to Satmail cow market, Asaduzzaman added.
