Ex-Paris Saint-Germain star Jerome Rothen has strongly criticised the performance levels and attitude of Kylian Mbappe during this summer's European Championship.
He believes that the 22-year-old's ego has affected his performances since the start of the competition.
"There's no problem with [Mbappe] being the leader on the pitch, but the fact that this goes beyond the field of play bothers me," said Rothen on RMC Sport.
Rothen also expressed his concern over France boss Didier Deschamps.
"It's astonishing that he lets Kylian Mbappe do so many things and not be totally focused," he added.
"Does he know that he doesn't have the [same] ability as some of the others from dead balls?
"Can you remember him ever scoring a free-kick from 25 yards out? No, but I remember [Antoine] Griezmann and [Paul] Pogba doing that. A left-footer and a right-footer.
"So, what's he taking them for?"
