A prisoner of Kashimpur Central Jail-1 in Gazipur died on Sunday afternoon.
Deceased Ful Mia, 34, hailed from Balahati area under Pirgachha Police Station in Rangpur district. He was serving jail in a drug case filed with Dhaka's Mugda Police Station.
Sadar Police Station sub-inspector Md Bayezid said Ful Mia was taken to Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmad Medical College Hospital this afternoon following he had fallen sick.
Later, the on-duty doctors there declared him dead, he said.
