Khulna Division has reported a record 28 deaths due to the coronavirus in the last 24 hours.
Besides, 763 have been infected with the virus and 194 have been cured from the disease.
Rasheda Sultana, Director of Divisional Health Directorate, confirmed the matter to Jago News on Sunday.
She said, of the deceased, seven people are from Kushtia, two from Khulna, two from Bagerhat, two from Satkhira, four from Jashore, five from Chuadanga, four from Jhenaidah, one each from Narail and Magura.
According to source, a total of 45,032 people have been infected with the virus so far in the division. The number of death toll has reached 825. Apart from, 34,320 people have been cured from the disease so far.
Earlier on Saturday, 22 people died of Coronavirus in Khulna Division.
