Three children drowned in a waterbody in Bhuruingamari upazila of Kurigram district on Sunday afternoon.
The deceased were Shefali, 5, daughter of Opu Mia, Sabina, 4, daughter of Saddam Hossain, and Jesmin, 5, daughter of Nur Islam, residents of North Boldia village in the upazila.
Boldia Union Parishad (UP) chairman Moklesur Rahman confirmed the matter.
Locals said the minors went under water in the waterbody beside home when they were taking bath.
Kachakata Police Station officer in-charge Mahbub Alam said an unnatural death case has been filed in this connection.
