3 pvt uni students put on 5-day remand

A Dhaka court has placed three students of two private universities on a 5-day remand in a case filed over the Lysergic Acid Diethylamide (LSD) drug recovery from a house in the capital.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Baki Billah passed the order on Sunday.

The accused are Independent university student Adin Ashraf and North South University students Sadman Sakib Rupal and Ashab Wadud Turja.

Earlier on May 27, investigation officer of the case produced them before the court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Debabrata Biswas with seven-day remand prayer. The court sent them to the court and fixed today for remand hearing.

To be noted, a team of DB police arrested them and recovered 200 LSD blots from their possessions on May 27. A case was filed with Dhanmandi Police Station against them in this connection.
