The district administration of Chapainawabganj has imposed one week lockdown due to current spread of COVID-19.
Deputy Commissioner Md Monjurul Hafiz imposed the lockdown on Monday noon.
However, Chapainawabganj reported 59 coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours. Of them, 49 people are from Chapainawabganj sadar upazila, three from Shibganj, six from Gomostapur and one from Bholahat.
1,018 people have recovered from the disease and 25 others have died so far in the district.
