Light to moderate rain/thundershowers likely

Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) today forecasted light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind in different parts of the country in the next 24 hours commencing at 9 am today, reports BSS. 

“Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur at a few places over Rangpur, Mymensingh, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and at one or two places over Khulna, Rajshahi and Dhaka divisions with moderately heavy falls at places over the country in 24-hour till 9am tomorrow,” said a Met office bulletin issued here this morning.

Day and night temperature may rise slightly over the country, the bulletin added.

The highest rainfall in the last 24 hours as of 6 am today was recorded 58 mm at M Court in Chattogram division.

Country’s maximum temperature on Thursday was recorded 34.8 degrees Celsius at Teknaf in Chattogram division and minimum temperature today was 19.7 degrees Celsius at Tetulia in Rangpur division.

Today’s sunset at Dhaka at 6.34 pm and tomorrow’s sunrise will be at 5.16 am.
