BNP chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia has been cured of COVID-19, the party’s Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said today.
“By the grace of Allah, her coronavirus test result came negative,” Fakhrul said this at a virtual press conference.
Earlier, Khaleda tested positive for the virus on April 11. Her personal eight staffs were also infected with the virus. She tested negative for the second time on April 24.
She was admitted to the Evercare Hospital in the capital on April 27 and underwent some medical tests including CT scan. Later, she was shifted to Coronary Care Unit of the hospital on May 3 after she felt breathing problem.
