The government has allowed shopping malls and markets to reopen complying with the health guidelines from Sunday amid the alarming rise in coronavirus cases and deaths.
The shopping malls and markets will stay open from 10am to 5pm, said a gazette notification issued by the Cabinet Division on Friday.
The notification said the government took the new decision considering life and livelihood of a vast number of people of the country.
With a view to limiting the virus spread, the government enforced a strict lockdown from April 14 to 21, ordering the closure of all public and private offices, public transport shut, and shopping mall and market. However, the lockdown was extended to April 28.
