The government has extended the ongoing lockdown for one more week from April 22 to April 28 to contain the rapid spread of Coronavirus.
Cabinet Division issued the gazette notification in this regard on Tuesday.
The ongoing lockdown across the country will end on April 21. The government issued the second lockdown from April 14.
Earlier on Sunday National Technical Advisory Committee for Coronavirus affairs in their 31th meeting suggested to extend the lockdown for one more week.
On Monday, an inter-ministerial meeting organized by the Cabinet Division was held in this regard. A decision was taken there to extend the lockdown.
To be noted, Bangladesh on Monday reported 112 deaths from Coronavirus and 4,217 cases.
