Health directorate ADG Nasima contracts Covid-19

Nasima Sultana, additional director general (administration) of the Directorate General of Health Services, has contracted coronavirus, she herself revealed.

In a Facebook post on Thursday midnight, she said, "I caught corona with symptoms after doing office non-stop for more than 365 days." 

In the post, the DGHS official prayed to Allah to protect the mankind and the people of Bangladesh from this pandemic.

Professor Nasima Sultana has become a familiar face to the country people for her regular appearance at press conference on coronavirus for consecutive several months last year amid the virus outbreak.

Earlier on January 27, she received her first dose of coronavirus vaccine on the inaugaration day of the nationwide vaccination.

The health directorate Director General Prof Dr Abul Bashar Mohammad Khurshid Alam and Director (MIS) Prof Mizanur Rahman and its several other official were infected with the highly contagious virus.
