Four people were killed as a sand-laden truck collided head-on with a CNG-run auto-rickshaw at Damdamia area in Raozan upazila of Chattogram in the wee hours of Wednesday.
The deceased were identified as Md Shahajahan, 33, son of Md Abul Kalam of Rangunia, Md Siraj, 55, son of late Delu Manjhi of Noakhali, Khorshed, 40, son of late Shah Alam, of Chattogram and the auto-rickshaw driver Md Kamrul.
Abdullah Al Harun, officer-in-charge of Raozan Police Station said, a Chattogram-bound truck collided head-on with an auto-rickshaw in the area around 2:30am, leaving four people dead. Bodies of four people were sent to Chattogram Medical College Hospital for autopsies.
