Three people were killed as a truck smashed into a microbus in Lohagara upazila of Chattogram district early Sunday.
The deceased were identified as Shah Alam, 41, Md Zahangir, 30, and Md Ayat, 40. They all hailed from Ukhiya upazila of Cox's Bazar district.
Dohazari Police Station inspector Md Abdur said a truck rammed into a microbus coming from opposite direction in Padua Bazar area on the Chattogram-Cox's Bazar highway around 3:30am, leaving one dead on the spot.
Injured two were rushed to Chakaria City Hospital where the on-duty doctors declared the duo dead, he added.
