A mobile court in Bogura has fined 13 people for not wearing face masks, in a time when the country witnessed a surge in the number of coronavirus infections.
Executive Magistrate Nasim Reza and Taskinuzzaman led the mobile court at Satmatha, the heart of the district town on Thursday morning.
Magistrate Reza said 13 people have been fined Tk 1,700 for not wearing face masks as per the Infectious Disease (Prevention, Control and Elimination) Act, 2018.
This drive will continue for the public interest, and fight against the coronavirus pandemic, he said.
