Rituparna Sengupta has tested positive for the novel coronavirus and she revealed the same on Instagram. The actress is currently under quarantine at a recovery centre in Singapore. In the post, she mentioned that she is asymptomatic.
Sharing her health update, the 50-year-old actress wrote, "I have tested positive for COVID-19 but I want to inform you all that I am feeling fine. I am asymptomatic and following all the required protocols and precautions advised by my doctor and authorities. I am currently in Singapore and have quarantined myself at a recovery centre. I request all of you to stay calm and safe. My family and staff are all safe.Thank you all for your concern and good wishes (sic)."
Rituparna went to Singapore for some urgent work. “I had some urgent work in Singapore and hence I rushed back,” she had told The Times Of India. The actress plans to be back to India in April.
On the work front, Rituparna has Kabir Lal's Antardrishti in the pipeline. The film is a revenge thriller that will be shot in four languages - Bengali, Marathi, Tamil and Kannada. Rituparna will play the lead in the Bengali version. She will also be seen in Ranjan Ghosh’s Mahishasur Mardini.
