Health and Family Welfare Minister Zahid Malik has received coronavirus vaccine in a hospital in capital Dhaka.
He was administered the vaccine dose at Sheikh Russel Gastro Liver Institute and Hospital, Mohakhali around 11:30am on Sunday.
After him, Agriculture Minister Abdur Razzaque, State Minister for Science and Technology Yeafesh Osman and State Minister for Public Administration Farhad Hossain got the shot.
Bangladesh on January 27 began coronavirus vaccination programme, and today the same was launched nationwide.
The country, however, recorded 5,37,770 coronavirus cases and 8,190 deaths from the virus till Saturday since it first reported case on March 8, 2020.
