US police have recovered the body of a Bangladeshi youth from Jamaica area in New York City.
Deceased Jimam Chowdhury, 21, was the son of Z Chowdhury Jewel, former general secretary of Jalalabad Association, a New York based organization for the people from Jalalabad of Sylhet in Bangladesh.
Jimam's friends knocked door of their house but got no response from inside. They also repeatedly tried him over phone but could not reach.
Being informed, police on Saturday evening went to the house at Hillside Avenue and retrieved Jimam's body.
Z Chowdhury and his other family members are, however, now in Bangladesh.
Rahman Mahbub, a relative of late Jimam, confirmed the matter.
