A sedition case has been filed against former vice president of Dhaka University Central Students' Union Nurul Haque Nur in Brahmanbaria for delivering instigating speech.
Rabiul Hossain Rubel, president of the district Chhatra League, lodged the case in the court of Brahmanbaria Senior Judicial Magistrate Ayesha Begum on Sunday.
The case statement said Nur in a facebook post at night on December 16 termed Awami League anti-Bangabandhu's ideology, Chhatra League activists 'Kulangar' roughly translates to disgrace to family and Bangladesh government the foreign flattery one.
The plaintiff's lawyer Ekram Hossain told media that court took the case into cognisance.
