Debidwar upazila chairman dies from coronavirus

Md Joynul Abedeen, Devidwar upazila chairman of Cumilla, has died from coronavirus. He was 85. 

Joynul, also the upazila Awami League President, breathed his last while undergoing treatment at Anwar Khan Modern Medical College Hospital in Dhaka around 6:30am on Thursday.  

He left behind his wife, two sons and one daughter and many well-wishers to mourn his death. 

Debidwar upazila Vice Chairman Abul Kashem Omani confirmed the death to Jago News. 

According to his family source, Joynul was admitted to the hospital after contracting coronavirus on November 12. Later, he was shifted to ICU after his health condition deteriorated and the doctor declared him dead at 6:36am. He will be buried at his family graveyard in Debidwar after his namaz-e-janaza at Duaria AG Model Academy playground.
