Two DU teachers lose job for staying abroad without permission

Two Dhaka University teachers have been relieved of their duties for staying abroad without permission.

The decision was taken at syndicate meeting of the university on Sunday afternoon, several members attended the meeting confirmed to Jago News. 

The relieved teachers are Nusrat Farah, and Mohammad Shariful Islam, lecturers of the Department of Accounting and Information System.

A syndicate member told Jago News that the two teachers have long been staying abroad with no permission. 

They were given letters on several occasions by the university authorities asking them to return to the job but they did not pay heed to. That is why the authorites decided to relieve them, he added.
