An Indian national has been arrested in a rape case in Zimbabwe’s Harare, but reports of a cricketer’s involvement are false, foreign ministry sources have told NDTV.‘We have spoken to our Ambassador to Zimbabwe. The report is totally false. No Indian cricketer is involved,’ a source in the ministry said.The man arrested is affiliated with one of the sponsors, but he has denied the charge and said he is ready to take a DNA test to prove his innocence, sources said.Quoting a report in a Zimbabwe daily, a section of Indian media had reported that a cricketer - whose name has been withheld by the local authorities - has been arrested.The complaint came from a woman who had alleged that she had been drugged and then assaulted at the Meikles hotel in Harare, where the Indian team is staying.The Indian cricket team is currently on a tour in Zimbabwe.
