Faridul to be sworn in as state minister of religious affairs today

Faridul Haque Khan Dulal, a ruling party lawmaker from Jamalpur 2 constituency, will take oath as the state minister for the religious affairs ministry on Tuesday evening.

Faridul himself confirmed the matter to Jago News. 

“The oath taking ceremony will be held today’s evening. We have been asked to stay at Gonobhabhan by 6pm,” he said. 

Faridul will be replacing previous state minister Sheikh Md Abdullah, who died of COVID-19 and complications of old age at a Dhaka hospital on June 13.

Faridul, nominated by Awami League, was elected as the MP from Jamalpur 2 constituency in the 9th, 10th and 11th parliamentary elections. He is the president of the Islampur upazila unit of Awami League.

Faridul Haq Khan was born on January 2, 1956 in the village of North Sirajabad in Islampur upazila of Jamalpur district.
