Wife and other family members of death-row war crimes convict Jamaat leader Mir Quasem Ali met him at Kashimpur Central Jail on Saturday.Nine family members of Quasem met him at Kashimpur Central Jail-2 on Saturday noon.They stayed at a cell with the Jamaat leader.Appellate Division of the Supreme Court on March 8 upheld the death penalty for Mir Quasem Ali for his crimes against humanity during the Liberation War.On 2 November 2014, the International Crimes Tribunal-2 sentenced the Jamaat-e-Islami leader to death for his crimes against humanity in 1971.
