In this regard, the recovery of these compensation depends on the accurate and timely sending of information from Dhaka.

Reliance on the concerned departments of the Malaysian government, embassies and families in Bangladesh in receiving workers' compensation.

It is learned that the embassy sends a letter of demand to the Malaysian government's labor department and employer, initiates the labor and related office process and sends a letter to the High Commission seeking information on the person seeking compensation or his family in Bangladesh. At this stage, the victims have complained about the administrative slowness. According to the investigation, the welfare board sends the paperwork to the district manpower office, completes the family information and legal process and sends it back to the wage board. You have to wait day after day to do this.

It is learned that the time has come to hand over the checks sent from the embassy for compensation of accident, arrears and death to the expected persons from Bangladesh. As a result, there was a problem in cashing the check. The check is sent back to Malaysia and it takes a long time to get a new one through the Malaysian labor office. The whole family is waiting.

In this situation, the compensation seekers are spending their days in one debt after another.

In this regard, the labor counselor of the embassy Md. Zahirul Islam said, "We are working in the legal process to recover the accident, death or arrears of wages and compensation to the workers." Apart from this, those who have valid and correct documents will get compensation. The embassy cooperates in this compensation.

Labor Councilor Zahirul Islam said vigilance was being exercised to ensure that Bangladeshi workers were not harassed to receive compensation, adding that foreign workers were being registered under the new insurance to ensure social security in Malaysia.

Earlier only local citizens got this facility. From now on, foreign workers will also get this facility. If it is successfully implemented, the worker will get a lifetime pension.
