A Dhaka court has fixed November 30 to frame the charges against expelled Jubo League’s Dhaka South unit president Ismail Chowdhury Samrat in two cases filed under the Arms Act and Narcotics Control Act.
Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Judge KM Imrul Kayesh passed the order on Tuesday.
Tapos Kumar Paul, a lawyer for the state, confirmed the matter to Jago News.
Earlier on November 6 last year, the investigation officer of the case and Sub Inspector Shekhar Chandra Mollik, submitted the charge sheet against him to the same court.
On October 6 last year, Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested Samrat, former president of Dhaka South Jubo League, and his close aide Arman, former vice-president of the same unit.
