Writer Rashid Haider dies

Noted writer and freedom fighter Rashid Haider has died at the age of 79, his family said.

Haider, also former director of Bangla Academy, breathed his last around 10am on Tuesday at his younger daughter Shaonti Haider’s residence.

He was suffering from old age complications for some days.
