The 2020 Nobel Peace Prize has been awarded to the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) for its efforts to combat hunger.
The WFP had acted "as a driving force in efforts to prevent the use of hunger as a weapon of war and conflict," said the Norwegian Nobel Committee, reports BBC.
The prize is worth 10m Swedish krona (£864,200; $1.1m).
The 101st winner of the prize was announced at the Norwegian Nobel Institute in Oslo.
