A tribunal in Dhaka on Sunday sentenced six people to death for killing a primary school teacher and his wife in 2017.
The condemned convicts are Swapan Kumar Das, Zahidul Islam, Farhad, Moniruzzaman Bhuiyan, Manzurul Islam and Shayan Mia.
Dhaka Speedy Trial Tribunal-1 judge Abu Zafar Md Kamruzzaman delivered the verdict.
The case statement said the condemned convicts murdered the couple- retired primary school teacher Anil Kumar Das, and Kalpana Rani- in their house in Rasulpur of the district on July 26, 2017.
Later, Anil Kumar's son lodged a case with Tangail Sadar Police Station in this connection.
