An unidentified woman and a boy were found slaughtered in a canal of Pukurdia-Naldigi in Lakshmipur Sadar upazila on Sunday.Police said locals spotted the bodies of the woman, aged around 32, and the boy aged about 10, floating in the canal one after another in the afternoon.Later, police recovered the bodies and sent those to Sadar Hospital morgue.Assistant Police Super M Nasim Miah said it seemed that the victims are mother and son. ‘Miscreants might have killed them elsewhere sometime on Saturday night and dumped the bodies in the canal,’ he said.The reason behind the killing could not be known yet, he added.
