A Chittagong court on Sunday placed two people, arrested in connection with the killing of Mahmuda Khanam Mitu, wife of Babul Akter, Superintendent of Police, on a seven day remand.Chittagong Metropolitan Magistrate Harunur Rashid passed the order when Kazi Rakibuddin, DB inspector and also the investigation officer of the case, produced Gunnu and Rakib before the court with a 10-day remand prayer for each.Earlier, unidentified miscreants gunned down Mahmuda Khanam at the city’s GEC intersection on Sunday morning while she went there to drop her son, Mahir Akhter, 7, for a bus to Chittagong Cantonment Public School and College.
