Blast at Pallabi police station, 4 cops injured

A blast incident was taken place inside Pallabi police station in the capital’s Mirpur on Wednesday morning. Four police members and a civilian were injured in the incident.

They are Sub Inspector Ankush, Sub Inspector Shafiq, Sub Inspector Rumi, Inspector Imdad and Riaz, a civilian.  

Deputy Commissioner of Police Walidur Rahman confirmed the incident to Jago News.

He said, three accused were kept at the lockup of the police station after arresting them from Pallabi area early today. Police recovered two arms and some accessories from their possession and kept them at the room of an Inspector (operations). A weighing machine-like object was among the seized items which was exploded at 7am. 

Four police members and a civilian were injured in the incident. All of them were sent to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital, he also said. 

Inspector Bachchu Miah, In-charge of DMCH police camp, said, SI Ankush was shifted to eye hospital after taking primary treatment from DMCH. SI Shafiq and Inspector Imdad were discharged from the hospital after primary treatment and SI Rumi and Riaz are receiving treatment there.
