More than 1 crore patients suffering from coronavirus have now recovered.
As of Monday afternoon, the total number of cases crossed 16,430,566, while the fatalities rose to 652,434.
Infections have been reported in more than 210 countries and territories since the first cases were identified in China in December 2019.
The US accounted for the world's highest number of infections and fatalities at 4,371,839 and 149,849, respectively, according to worldometer.
Brazil came in the second place with 2,419,901 infections.
In terms of cases, US ranks first among the top five countries (4,371,839), followed by Brazil (2,419,901), India (1,437,976), Russia (818,120) and South Africa (445,433)
Countries with over 10,000 deaths include UK (45,752), Mexico (43,680), Italy (35,107), India (32,826), France (30,192), Spain (28,432), Peru (18,229), Iran (15,700) and Russia (13,354).
