The parliamentary standing committee on the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change has recommended the government to close all parks, including Lawachhara national park, until next October.
The Jatiya Sangsad body came up with the suggestion at its 14th meeting on Sunday aims to protect environment and biodiversity, and to prevent people's gathering for development of forest resources.
Presided over by the committee President Saber Hossain Chowdhury, Environment, Forest and Climate Change Minister Md Shahab Uddin, deputy minister Habibun Nahar, Dipankar Talukder, Nazim Uddin Ahmed, Md Rezaul Karim Bablu and Khodeza Nasrin Akter Hossain attended the meeting.
In the meeting, the committee also took decision of presenting 'clean air act, 2019' in the next parliament session.
