After husband, Shirin Reza, mother of Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan, has also tested positive for COVID-19, the disease caused by the novel coronavirus.
"Nine people, including Shakib's mother Shirin Reza, contracted coronavirus in the district on Thursday," said Magura Civil Surgeon Dr Pradip Kumar Saha.
She was being treated in home isolation as she has no symptoms, the local health authorities said.
Shirin Reza on Monday gave sample that's result came positive today.
Earlier on Sunday, Shakib's father and banker Mashrur Reza Kutil caught the highly contagious virus.
Mashrur Reza said they both, husband and wife, are doing well and in isolation at home.
The district, however, recorded 355 coronavirus cases and eight deaths from the virus.
