A cement-laden vessel capsized in the Meghna River in Hizla upazila of Barishal on Saturday afternoon.
After the incident, the vessel master, staff and workers, all, have been rescued, said Hizla Naval Police Outpost ASI Md Mamun.
Amin Hossain, master of the cargo vessel, MV Farhana Monayem, the ship sank in severe wave and current in Miarchar area when it alongwith 13 sacks of cement was heading towards Chattogram from Narayanganj.
All were on board have been rescued but the sacks of cement sank in the river, Amin added.
ASI Mamun said there were people, including master, in the vessel.
