Awami League Presidium Member and former home minister Advocate Sahara Khatun, MP, was buried at her mother’s grave at Banani graveyard at 11:45am on Saturday.
Earlier, her namaz-e-janaza was held at Banani mosque premises following health guidelines around 11am.
Sahara Khatun was flown to Bangkok by an air ambulance on Monday. She breathed her last while undergoing treatment at Bumrungrad International Hospital on Thursday night.
Earlier, she was taken to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of United Hospital as her physical condition deteriorated.
Sahara Khatun was admitted to the hospital on June 2 with fever and some old age complications.
She was elected MP thrice from Dhaka-18 constituency.
