Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) have arrested Tarek Shibly, the main aide of Regent Group Chairman Md Sahed, from the capital’s Nakhalpara area on Wednesday midnight.
Lt. Col. Sarwar, Chief of RAB’s detective branch, confirmed the arrest to Jago News.
Earlier on Wednesday, a Dhaka court fixed August 31 for submitting probe report in a lawsuit lodged against Regent Group Chairman Md Sahed and 16 others for allegedly issuing COVID-19 certificates without conducting test.
On Tuesday, a case was filed against them with Uttara Police Station in this regard.
On Monday, RAB conducted separate drives at the Uttara and Mirpur branches of Regent Hospital and arrested eight people for issuing fake Covid-19 test certificates and collecting money from COVID-19 patients.
