Kuwait imprisons 2 in case filed against MP Papul

The Public Prosecution of Kuwait decided to imprison its two nationals in a lawsuit lodged against Bangladeshi lawmaker Md Shahid Islam Papul in the Middle East country for his involvement in human trafficking and money laundering.

The duo- an official from Manpower Authority and a former candidate of National Assembly- would be sent to the country's central prison, reports Arab Times.

Earlier last week the Public Prosecutor had decided to extend custody of MP Papul for additional 21 days by referring him to the central prison to investigate charges laid on him.

A well-informed source said that more surprise have cropped up with high profile names in this case as marathon investigations continue to take place with the accused and witnesses.
