Laila Arjumand Banu, wife of Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque, died from coronavirus on Monday morning. She was 71.
She breathed her last at Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Dhaka at 7:45am.
Liberation War Affairs Ministry confirmed the death in a press release.
Earlier on June 12, Mozammel Haque and his wife Laila Arzumand tested coronavirus positive. They were admitted to the CMH on June 13. Mozammel Haque recovered from the novel coronavirus and returned to his residence in Dhaka on June 21.
