PM returns home from Saudi Arabia

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina returned home on Tuesday evening wrapping up her five-day official visit to Saudi Arabia at the invitation of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.A VVIP flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines that left Prince Mohammad bin Abdulaziz Airport in Madina for home at 10.40 am (KSA time) carrying the Prime Minister and her entourage landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 7:50pm.Deputy Governor of Madina Abdul Mohsen Al Moneef, Bangladesh Ambassador to the KSA and Permanent Representative to the OIC Golam Masih and Bangladesh’s Consul General in Jeddah AKM Shahidul Karim saw her off at Madina airport.She was given static guard of honour at the airport.During her KSA visit, the Prime Minister performed Umrah and offered Ziarat at the Rawza Mubarak of Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) at Masjid-e-Nababi, reports UNB.While holding meeting with Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud,  Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Saudi King agreed to work together  for ensuring global peace, stability, development, unity and welfare of the Muslim Ummah.Saudi Minister for Labour Dr Mofarrej Al-Hoqubani while paying a courtesy call on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina expressed his country’s interest to recruit some 5 lakh more manpower from Bangladesh to meet its demand for workers in various sectors.The Prime Minister also had meetings with acting president of IDB Dr Ahmed Tiktik, Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Secretary General Iyad bin Amin Madani, Royal Court Adviser Yasir Al Rumayyan, Saudi Assistant Minister for Defence Md Abdullah Alayser, Adviser to the Saudi Minister of Islamic Affairs and Endowments Sheikh Talal bin Ahmad Al Aqeel and Chief of Saudi Intelligence Khalid bin Ali Humaidan.During her visit, the Prime Minister laid the foundation stones of Bangladesh Chancery Building in Riyadh and resident building Bangladesh Ambassador to Saudi Arabia.While addressing a meeting with the leaders of Jeddah Chamber of Commerce & Industry (JCCI), she welcomed Saudi entrepreneurs to invest in emerging sectors of Bangladesh and be the partners of Bangladesh in investment, trade, profit sharing and prosperity to achieve the goals of vision-2021 and vision 2041.
