Former Home Minister and also Awami League presidium member Sahara Khatun has been put in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of United Hospital in the capital.
Confirming the matter, her Personal Assistant Mujibur Rahman, on Friday morning said she has been put in ICU as her health condition deteriorated.
Earlier on June 2, She was admitted to the hospital for old age complications. She tested negative several times for coronavirus.
Sahara Khatun entered the national political scene in 1991 when she contested in the 5th Parliamentary elections as an Awami League candidate, and was defeated by BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia.
